Welcome to the World-Famous Buncom Chicken-Splat Contest!

We knew you couldn't pass up this page. Here's the basic "secret recipe" for one of Buncom Day's most popular events:

Take a large sheet of paper, big enough to cover the bottom of a chicken cage. Divide it into squares, and number each square. Kids and adults buy numbered squares. Once the chicken's in the cage, everyone urges it on, and when it “splats,” those with the winning square divide the pot. (We're easily entertained at Buncom)

This year Amy and Shawn added a whole bunch of new ideas to the mix, taking the traditional Chicken Splat to new heights of fun and silliness.

It took a lot of work, but Amy came up with the snazzy new announcement poster at the top of this page, and she and Shawn put together a most impressive board showing the rules, who bid on which number, and the all-important report of when the last splat took place, for those wanting to second-guess the chicken's splatting schedule.

Even better, they announced each successful splat with a vigorous ringing of their dinner bell, which of course brought everyone running back to the C.S. area to see who won that round. They even brought along a spare chicken in case the first one declined to "participate" in the event.

Both kids and adults loved the 2011 version of the Chicken Splat!
